Kastaplast discs

Kastaplast is a Swedish manufacturer that started in 2011 as a small prototyping workshop run by Jonas Lindberg, who was later joined by Anders Källström and Per Jonson. Its first PDGA approval followed in 2013. The company says it still develops discs in that workshop style, combining flight simulation, research and extensive physical prototyping.

Many of Kastaplast's mold names are Swedish, including Berg, Reko, Falk, Svea and Lots. The Berg is the mold most closely associated with the brand, a slow putt-and-approach disc known for its unusual profile and very low glide. The lineup has since expanded across putters, approaches, mids, fairway drivers and distance drivers.

Kastaplast's plastics are organized around its numbered K-lines. K1 is its durable premium material with a mix of firmness and gumminess, while K3 is the grippy base plastic. K4 is a soft hybrid between base and premium that shows wear while retaining its flight characteristics. Variants include K1 Soft, K1 Hard and Glow blends, while K1 Grind is made from 100% recycled K1 production material. K1 Soft is the current name for the plastic previously sold as K2.
