The Berg is a putter designed with one purpose and one purpose only… not going far. It has a concave Thumbtrack that lowers the whole flight plate and a tall, blunt nose that work together to limit glide. Once on the ground, the Berg excels at sticking where it lands rather than skipping or rolling. It is one of the most torque-resistant putters on the market and has enough stability to be thrown backhand or forehand with power and is very resistant to turning over. The Berg has a straight to overstable flight with a consistent but not dumping fade at the end.

Despite being released in 2015, the Berg flew somewhat under the radar until around 2020, and since then has been one of the most divisive discs in the sport. Regardless of the many differing opinions, it has established itself as a mainstay in the Kastaplast lineup. On tour, it is most notably thrown by Josef Berg, whose Tour Series disc is a Berg, and Scott Stokely. Collectible runs include the 2019 “Midnight Berg”, “Hiesenbergs”, and First Runs.

    Great approach disc. Very rarely goes long. Falls out of the sky. I would highly recommend.
