The Phoenix is a Mint Discs driver rated 9/3/0/4, which Mint calls super overstable. Little turn, restrained glide and a heavy finish make it useful for drives around obstacles and hyzer shots that need to end on the fading side. A player seeking a long, gentle turnover has a very different flight in mind from the Phoenix's intended role. Mint pitches the mold for wind and pronounced finishing movement. Its speed keeps it in a more manageable driver class than wide distance rims, but the stability still asks the thrower to account for a substantial curve.
