The Mystery Box (2024) is the mold Mint Discs certified for that year's mystery box release, a fairway or control-driver-class disc sold without its identity announced in advance.
The PDGA approved it on January 6, 2025 under certification 25-4, recording a 21.3 cm diameter, 1.7 cm rim, 1.7 cm height, and 1.1 cm rim depth. The 1.7 cm rim supports the control-driver classification but cannot establish speed, glide, turn, fade, or stability, and Mint has published no flight numbers under this name.
Mint runs the mystery box as an annual limited product, revealing each disc's retail identity after release.
Flight
Source: Mint DiscsSpeedHow hard the disc must be thrown to fly as designed. Putters are 1 to 3, the fastest drivers 14 and up.
-
GlideHow long the disc stays in the air. More glide means more distance from the same throw.
-
TurnHow much it drifts right early in flight (right-handed backhand). More negative, more drift.
-
FadeHow hard it hooks left as it slows down (right-handed backhand). Higher, stronger hook.
-
StabilityTurn plus fade. Negative drifts right and is easier for beginners. Positive finishes left.Turn + Fade
