Typhoon (DGA)

The Typhoon is DGA's stable distance driver, rated 12/6/-2/2 and designed by two-time world champion Catrina Allen to fill the slot between the Rogue and the Hurricane in the brand's lineup. The glide is the headline: bigger arms ride controlled hyzer-flips a long way, and moderate power gets honest, forward-skipping distance with a manageable fade.

DGA is disc golf's original company, founded by chain-basket inventor Steady Ed Headrick, and the Typhoon (PDGA-approved in 2024) leads its current performance push with Allen's design at the center. It debuted in ProLine plastic with First Flight runs and now sells in the brand's Atmos blend.

The name carries a DGA qualifier on TryDiscs because the catalog also holds Discraft's vintage 1994 Typhoon: same name, two eras, two very different discs, each keeping its own page.
