Insanity
more_horiz
The Insanity is a stable-to-understable control driver that has a role
for players of all skill levels. Insanity runs are typically flat, as are
most MVP-produced discs, and have a slightly rounded nose, making them
comfortable for forehand and backhand. For slower arms, the Insanity
will be a very neutral flyer, and will be a more understable disc for
power arms. It excels at turnovers, sweeping s-curves, and hyzerflips.
Axiom released the Insanity in 2015 as its first distance driver, intended to fly like a more seasoned version of the similar MVP Inertia, or a longer version of the Axiom Crave. It lived up to this description and quickly became very popular amongst amateurs due to its straight flight, and was even eventually included in the Axiom R2 starter-set. It has also gained popularity among pros as well, particularly in the FPO where notable Insanity-throwers included Madison Walker and Sarah Hokom. Collectible versions include Citrus runs, Prism Proton prototypes, and Halloween-stamped Insanity’s.
