The Axiom Hex has often been labeled as a Buzzz with Gyro. Whether or not that is true is up to the user, but the message is clear: the Hex goes straight where it's thrown. It’s a point-and-shoot midrange that is meant to glide far and hold whatever line it is put on. It features a rounded shoulder and beadless rim, which is meant to make the disc as neutral feeling in the hand as possible. Its strong high- and low-speed stability makes it suitable for beginner and advanced players alike. Introduced into the Axiom lineup in 2021 with the goal of filling the straight midrange slot, the Hex has maintained its place as a fixture in the Gyro family of discs and has not shown any indication of going away. In addition to being a popular disc among amateurs, the Hex is bagged by many MVP-sponsored pros, including Simon Lizotte and Eagle McMahon. There have also been several collectible runs since its release, including Watermelon Hexes and Lizottl Hexes.

The Axiom Hex is one of the most-reviewed discs we track.
Try Discs adds up reviews from six disc golf stores, so you see what players think across stores, not just at one shop. Reviews are great for spotting proven, popular discs. Take the details with a grain of salt, though: runs, plastics and skill level all change how a disc flies, so your experience may vary.
