The Monsoon is a midrange rated 5/4/0/2. Zero turn into a 2 fade suggests a stable midrange flight that holds its line and ends with a moderate left move for a right-hand backhand. It is not a disc for turnover shots.
A monsoon is one of the winds associated with regions where most rain falls in a particular season, and it is the last name on the Windward Discs record: the PDGA approved it on 23 May 2022, six weeks after the brand's opening trio, making four certifications in total, every mold named for a wind or a storm, matching a brand name that means towards the wind. Its sample is an unstamped translucent purple blank, photographed with the usual measuring card rather than the coin used for the April discs. No working brand site surfaced in the sources traced for this page as of September 2026.
TryDiscs holds no plastics rows for it yet as of September 2026.

SpeedHow hard the disc must be thrown to fly as designed. Putters are 1 to 3, the fastest drivers 14 and up.
5
GlideHow long the disc stays in the air. More glide means more distance from the same throw.
4
TurnHow much it drifts right early in flight (right-handed backhand). More negative, more drift.

FadeHow hard it hooks left as it slows down (right-handed backhand). Higher, stronger hook.

Dimensions
Source: PDGA
DiameterHow wide the disc is, edge to edge. Almost every disc is 21 to 22 cm.
21.3 cm
HeightHow tall the disc is lying flat. Putters are usually the tallest.
2 cm
Rim DepthHow deep the rim is underneath, where your fingers grip. Putters have the deepest rims.
1.3 cm
Rim ThicknessHow wide the rim is. Wider rims make faster discs that need a stronger throw.
1.3 cm
Rim Inside DiameterThe width of the flat middle, inside the rim. Bigger usually means a slower, easier disc.
18.7 cm
Rim Depth/Diameter RatioRim depth as a share of the disc's width. Higher means a deeper rim for its size.
6.1%
Rim ConfigurationA PDGA score for the shape of the edge. Low is sharp, like a driver. High is rounded, like a putter.
46.5
BeadA small ridge under the edge of the rim, mostly on putters. It changes how the disc feels in hand.
