Giant Reborn

4.9(12)
Distance Driver
The Giant Reborn is a Westside Discs distance driver rated 12/6/-0.5/2, a reworked take on the classic Giant rather than a rerun of it. Where the original Giant was a hard-finishing 13/4/0/3.5 bomber, the Reborn trades much of that fade for glide and carry: a larger-diameter mold (22.0 cm against the original's 21.1 cm) with a subtle turn and a far gentler finish. Westside describes it as shaped into something entirely new, and the flight suits shot shaping and distance more than pure wind-fighting. It launched in a VIP First Run and is currently offered in VIP, Tournament, and BT Hard plastics.

Questions

  • How does the Giant Reborn compare to the original Westside Giant?
The Giant Reborn is a retooled version of the original Giant distance driver. The original Giant had flight numbers of 13/4/0/3.5 and was known as a very overstable, wind-fighting driver. The Reborn version maintains the overstable characteristics with potential tweaks to the mold.

4.912 reviews from 3 stores

Try Discs adds up reviews from six disc golf stores, so you see what players think across stores, not just at one shop. Reviews are great for spotting proven, popular discs. Take the details with a grain of salt, though: runs, plastics and skill level all change how a disc flies, so your experience may vary.
