The Onyx is rated 8/6/-3/1. Three points of turn with 6 glide suggest a long, understable flight: right drift for a right-hand backhand and plenty of carry, with slower arms seeing a straighter version of it. TryDiscs files it as a control driver.

The PDGA certified it on 2 December 2015, the same day as the Vamp, and no product page for it survives in the archived versions of Vibram's site traced for this page.

TryDiscs records Granite Medium, X-Link Firm and X-Link Medium rubber runs. Out of production since Vibram's 2018 exit from disc golf.
