The Obex is an overstable midrange that can handle a lot of power and is good at fighting the wind. It features a small bead and is made in very durable rubber, making it quite durable. It can be thrown hard without it turning over and has a dependable fade at the end of its flight. When thrown at lower speeds it will begin to fade almost immediately out of the hand.

Vibram released the Obex in 2012 as a complement to the stable Ibex. In fact, Obex is just an Ibex with the small bead of a Ridge added on, and the result was an even more overstable midrange almost identical in feel to the already popular Ibex. However, Vibram stopped producing discs in 2018 so the Obex, like all other Vibram discs, is out of production. As a result of this, basically all runs of the Obex are considered collectible.
