Marlin

The Marlin is rated 7/5/-4/1. Four points of turn with 5 glide read as a deeply understable, carrying fairway flight, early right movement for a right-hand backhand and only a soft left ending; TryDiscs files it as a control driver. It is not a disc for headwinds or big arms.

Neptune Discs calls it its understable fairway driver, sold in its premium Pearl plastic, and its listing prints the same figures carried here before adding a wink at the brand's naming habits: too bad flipper did not win the naming contest, it says. The PDGA approved it on 10 April 2023, first of the consecutively numbered same-day trio it shares with the Nautilus and the Splash, the sea-named brand's return nearly nine months after its first certification.
