Archangel

The Archangel is one of Innova's easiest drivers to throw, an understable, high-glide fairway driver rated 8/6/-4/1 that turns readily to the right (for a right-handed backhand) and fades very little, stretching distance for players with less power. Its combination of speed, big glide and strong turn is what makes it so forgiving.

At moderate power it flips up and glides for easy distance, and it doubles as one of the easier discs to roll. Lighter weights make it especially friendly for younger or lower-power players. Stronger arms will turn it over hard, so they use it deliberately for turnovers and rollers rather than straight power lines. It is a beadless fairway driver. Anyone wanting a stable, wind-fighting driver should look elsewhere, since the Archangel is built to turn.

Approved in 2001, the Archangel has long been one of Innova's go-to understable distance aids for developing arms.

DX beats toward even more turn and becomes a dedicated roller; firmer runs hold the rated flight longer.
