Wraith

Distance Driver
The Wraith is a fast distance driver that has often been described as a slightly slower Destroyer. For many players the Wraith can be the farthest flying disc in the Innova lineup thanks to its high glide and high but controllable speed. Wraiths are typically fairly neutral flyers, though some runs/plastics are quite overstable (Halo Star, Champion), and some are quite understable (Pro, DX, some runs of Star). However, this inconsistency means that the several Wraiths can often be used for different slots in one’s bag.

Innova released the Wraith in 2005 as its first 11-speed driver, and it was a massive success. Designed as the next step up from the Orc, it was Innova’s first true maximum distance driver, and, at the time, it was the farthest flying disc made by Innova. Players, amateur and pro alike, found the Wraith to be a great balance of distance and accuracy, even after the inception of faster discs. Even with the releases of drivers like the Destroyer and Boss, the Wraith still remains a top seller for Innova. It was endorsed by Ken Climo, and has been a tour series disc for Garrett Gurthie and Nathan Queen. Augusta Wraiths (first run), Madison Walker Tour Series Wraiths, and David Feldberg Wraiths are highly collectible, and Gurthie Wraiths are sought after as well.

The Innova Wraith is one of the most-reviewed discs we track.

Try Discs adds up reviews from six disc golf stores, so you see what players think across stores, not just at one shop. Reviews are great for spotting proven, popular discs. Take the details with a grain of salt, though: runs, plastics and skill level all change how a disc flies, so your experience may vary.
