Wombat

The Wombat is a straight, glidey, understable-leaning midrange rated 5/6/-1/0, a no-fade disc that holds whatever line you give it and lands gently with a flat, soft finish rather than hooking left. Its big glide and neutral finish make it a favorite for straight shots and turnovers that stay turned.

The VTech rim gives it more meat and extra torque resistance, which makes it comfortable and easier to throw, especially on forehand (sidearm) shots: straight shots go straight and turnovers stay turned with a gentle, flat landing. It is a beaded, low-profile mid. Because it has essentially no fade, it is not a dependable overstable wind mid; it favors straight and turning lines.

Approved in 2015, the Wombat was later succeeded by the Wombat3, the current version; the original Wombat is now discontinued.

Champion and GStar runs hold the straight, glidey flight; older runs turn up secondhand for fans of the mold.
