The Spider is a small-diameter, predictable midrange rated 5/3/0/1, a versatile, low-speed disc that works for hyzer, straight and turnover throws. It is a controllable approach and midrange tool that responds cleanly to release angle.

Its predictability is the appeal: thrown nose-up it will turn left, and nose-down it turns right, giving players precise control over shot shape, while its low-speed, stable flight makes it a reliable approach disc. The small diameter suits players who prefer a compact mid. It is a beadless mid. It is now discontinued, an early-2000s midrange succeeded by Innova's newer mold lineup.

Approved in 2001, the Spider was a versatile control midrange during Innova's early-2000s era.
