Sonic

The Sonic is a straight-flying, understable putt-and-approach disc rated 1/2/-4/0, a soft, low-speed putter that holds a straight line, sticks well in the chains, and turns gently rather than fading out. It is a versatile, beginner-friendly short-game disc.

As a putter it flies straight and grips the basket; thrown sidearm or backhand it works as a short-range approach and escape disc, and on longer approaches it has a slow, predictable turn and likes to land flat, which cuts down on roll-aways. That soft, understable character is what makes it forgiving for newer players. It is a beadless putter. Because it turns and does not fade, it is not a wind or overstable approach tool; it favors calm, straight lines.

Approved in 2007, the Sonic is a long-standing beginner-friendly putt-and-approach option.
