Monarch

The Monarch is a fast, understable distance driver rated 10/5/-4/1, a long-range mold with a significant high-speed turn to the right (for a right-handed backhand) and very little fade. That predictable turn makes it a strong distance aid for beginners and players with slower arm speeds.

Its deep turn and glide are the appeal: lower-power players get easy distance as it flips up and rides, and it doubles as a great roller. Innova describes it as much like a faster Roadrunner with more glide. Stronger arms will turn it over hard, so they use it for turnovers and rollers rather than straight power. It was notable as the first 10-speed disc offered in Champion plastic below 160 grams. It is a shallow, beadless speed-10 rim.

Approved in 2008, the Monarch is one of Innova's understable distance options for finesse and lower-power throwers.

Star runs fly the most understable and glidey; firmer runs hold the rated flight a bit longer.
