Manta

The Manta is a glidey, understable-leaning midrange rated 5/5/-2/1, a VTech version of the Stingray built to offer more control. It has a gentle turn to the right (for a right-handed backhand) when thrown with power and a smooth, straight glide when thrown flat with moderate power.

That easy, forgiving flight is the appeal: it turns and glides for developing arms and holds straight, controllable lines for finesse shots, which makes it a good beginner mid and a natural pick for players who want a broken-in, understable feel out of the box. The VTech rim gives it added torque resistance for a comfortable release. It is a beadless mid. Because it leans understable, it is not a wind-fighting or overstable finishing mid; it favors touch and straight-to-turning lines.

Approved in 2017, the Manta is Innova's more controllable, VTech evolution of the classic Stingray.
