Griffin

The Griffin is a discontinued Innova midrange rated 5/3/1/3, an overstable mold with genuine high-speed resistance (the plus-1 turn) and a strong, dependable fade to the left (for a right-handed backhand). It was a utility and wind mid that held an overstable line.

That firm overstability suited forehand (sidearm) approaches, spike hyzers and headwind shots where a straighter mid would flip. It is a beadless mid with low glide and a hard finish. It has since left the active lineup, an overstable mid from Innova's early catalog.

Approved in 1993, the Griffin is a discontinued overstable midrange from Innova's early years.

Older runs turn up secondhand, where the strong, wind-fighting fade remains its character.
