The Scout is a Gateway disc rated 6/5/-1/2, with a little turn and a moderate finishing fade. It fits controlled throws that need more pace than a slow approach disc, while leaving room for a curve at the landing. With less speed, the finishing portion can become more prominent.

The PDGA lists a Scout (old) approval from September 2000 and a Scout (new) approval on 26 January 2011.
