The Doomsday Discs Solar Death Ray is a neutral fairway control driver (8/5/-1/1) that flies the line you give it, showing a little turn on power before an almost equal, gentle fade. That straight, workable flight makes it easy to shape both hyzers and turnovers and a dependable choice for controlled fairway shots off the tee. Its signature feature is a set of raised flight rings molded across the top of the plate, grooves that add grip and a distinctive texture at release. Doomsday offers it in Survival plastic, a premium blend in their Prepper line with strong grip and a shiny finish. The Solar Death Ray is a friendly, controllable driver for players who want to place shots rather than bomb them.

The Doomsday Discs Solar Death Ray has only 8 reviews so far, so one opinion can swing the picture. That's why there's no star average yet.

Try Discs adds up reviews from six disc golf stores, so you see what players think across stores, not just at one shop. Reviews are great for spotting proven, popular discs. Take the details with a grain of salt, though: runs, plastics and skill level all change how a disc flies, so your experience may vary.

The Solar Death Ray made my bag this year and refused to leave. It's basically a faster Crave with a fun top. It fits perfectly between my Crave and Neutron Trail, giving me that familiar point-and-shoot feel, and I reach for it often without overthinking.
