Venom

The Venom is an overstable distance driver rated 13/5/0/3: zero turn at full power and a strong, reliable fade. It is a wind-fighting power driver, happiest on forehands and headwind backhands from players with real arm speed; slower arms will watch it hyzer out well short of its potential.

Its job is dependability at speed. When faster, straighter drivers start turning over in gusts, the Venom holds its shape, and the fade arrives on schedule for placement drives and big skip finishes.

The name has two chapters: the original Venom was approved in March 2005 (PDGA cert 05-04), and Discraft retooled the mold and re-certified it in December 2022 (cert 22-232). This listing carries the current, retooled disc; early-2000s copies share the name but come from the older tooling.
