Nuke

The Nuke is Discraft's flagship maximum-distance driver, a very fast speed-13 mold rated 13/5/-1/3 that flies with just a slight high-speed turn to the right (for a right-handed backhand) and a strong, dependable fade back left at the end. It is built for power: strong arms get commanding distance, while slower arms will struggle to bring out its full flight.

Its defining feature is a wide, thick rim (about 2.5 cm) that holds maximum speed deep into the flight, which is what makes it a true distance bomber. It is relatively stable for a speed-13 driver, so it resists flipping under power and finishes reliably, which suits controlled distance and headwinds rather than big turnovers. It is a beadless driver. Because it needs real arm speed, it is not a beginner's driver; less powerful players will find it fades out early.

Approved by the PDGA in 2009, the Nuke has long been one of the most-thrown distance drivers in the sport and a staple in the bags of Discraft's touring pros.

It comes in nearly Discraft's entire plastic range, from grippy Pro-D and Jawbreaker to durable Z and premium ESP; Z and ESP hold the stable flight longest and are the picks for power throwers.
