Archer
more_horiz
The Archer is one of the most understable midranges in Discraft's lineup, rated 5/4/-4/1: at -4 turn it moves right almost immediately for a right-hand backhand and barely fades back. That makes it a genuine first mid for new players and a specialist's turnover disc for everyone else; anyone with moderate power throwing it flat should expect it to flip.
New players get full, straight-ish flights at low speed that stabler discs never give them. Experienced players bag it for deep anhyzers, cut rollers, and finesse turnover lines. Wear exaggerates all of it.
Approved in December 2016 (PDGA cert 16-78), the Archer filled the far-understable end of Discraft's midrange chart.
ESP and Z Line are the standards, Big Z sits alongside, swirl runs exist in both ESP and Z, and Titanium plus Tour Series ESP cover the collector end.

Try Discs adds up reviews from six disc golf stores, so you see what players think across stores, not just at one shop. Reviews are great for spotting proven, popular discs. Take the details with a grain of salt, though: runs, plastics and skill level all change how a disc flies, so your experience may vary.
