FD1

The FD1 is a straight-flying fairway driver rated 7/4/0/2, made at Discmania's own factory in Sweden. It flies a dependable straight line with a mild fade, filling the accuracy slot between the FD and FD3 for controlled fairway shots.

It rewards a smooth release with a predictable, low-turn flight that holds the line you give it; it is not a disc for big turnovers or heavy wind-fighting.

Discmania reworked this slot in mid-2025: FD1 discs made before then used a more overstable mold that Discmania felt was too stable for the slot, and that older mold moved to the FD2 name. The current FD1 uses the mold that began as the Evolution-line Instinct, repositioned into the Originals line as the straight fairway driver.

It is produced in Discmania's Swedish-factory plastic lines.
