Crossbow Nu

The Crossbow Nu is rated 4/1.5/0.5/4, an unusual line: very low glide, a POSITIVE turn figure, and a heavy fade. Yikun calls it a utility disc, and that is the honest framing. It is not a general-purpose straight midrange.

A positive turn rating suggests unusually strong resistance to high-speed turnover. Combined with the low glide and 4 fade, expect it to fight toward a sharp finish rather than preserve whatever angle it is released on; it may remain on hyzer because its positive turn suggests strong resistance to flipping up, but it should not be expected to hold an anhyzer. Yikun describes a strong left tilt and calls the disc extremely controllable, pointing it at rain, wind, escaping from woods, grenade shots and S shots, as well as distance control. Note that Yikun's own product title labels the mold Understable, which contradicts both the positive turn figure and the strong-left-tilt description on the same page.

PDGA certified it on 16 August 2018 as Crossbow (Nu, 连弩), so the Nu carried here is part of the certified name rather than a local qualifier. Yikun describes a flat flight plate, and its page discusses a Tiger Line material that our plastics data does not yet record for this mold.
