The Mellow is a putt and approach disc rated 1/5/0/1. Very slow speed, generous glide and a light fade suggest a floating, straight flight with a gentle finish for a right-hand backhand. Its ratings suggest it is less suited to players seeking a stable approach disc with a firm finish. Thought Space Athletics says it built the Mellow as a cross between a catch disc and a golf disc, for warm-ups, playing catch, one-disc rounds and touch approaches, with a deep, rounded profile and a straight flight it pitches at new players. Its stamp shows two melting marshmallows and reads Proto above the rating. The PDGA approved it on 20 July 2026 (26-97). TryDiscs does not yet record a plastic row for it as of September 2026.

The Thought Space Athletics Mellow has only 1 review so far, so one opinion can swing the picture. That's why there's no star average yet.

Try Discs adds up reviews from six disc golf stores, so you see what players think across stores, not just at one shop. Reviews are great for spotting proven, popular discs. Take the details with a grain of salt, though: runs, plastics and skill level all change how a disc flies, so your experience may vary.
