Prometheus

The Prometheus is a distance driver rated 14/4/-1/1. A single point of turn and a single point of fade at speed 14 suggest a long, fast flight that stays close to its release line, with slower arms seeing an earlier finish.

It was the first PDGA certification from Salient Discs, a small South Carolina brand of the 2013 to 2014 era that the PDGA directory now lists as inactive. The release copy Salient supplied to the PDGA called it a large diameter, wide rim driver with added control and glide over smaller discs, turning slightly and landing softly when thrown low and flat. The record backs the size talk: a 22.6 cm diameter against the common 21-and-change, with a 2.6 cm rim, the widest among the brand's five certified molds as of 2026. A speed 14 frame that wide is not a beginner's disc.
