The Taniwha is the middle chapter in the three-name history of RPM Discs' first driver: released as the Raptor, renamed the Taniwha (after the water being of Maori legend), and sold today as the Kiwi. Rated 7/6/-3/0, it is an approachable control driver from the New Zealand maker, quick to stand up with good glide, equally happy as a newer player's first driver or a medium-speed roller.

RPM notes the current Kiwi iteration runs more overstable than the earlier versions, so Taniwha-era stamps fly a touch straighter than today's disc. This listing covers the Taniwha era; the mold lives on in RPM's lineup under the Kiwi name.
