The D1 Max is an overstable speed-13 Prodigy distance driver rated 13/5/-1/3. A little high-speed turn and a firm fade make it a power driver for strong arms and windy days. Players with slower arms, or anyone wanting an understable driver, should look elsewhere. Prodigy called it its first retooled distance driver: the D1's dependable finish with more speed and distance, from a slightly smaller rim and a smooth top, made alongside the original D1. The PDGA approved the D1 Max on 31 January 2019 (19-04), and Prodigy released it on 21 February 2019. Prodigy's 2023 flight-number update set its current figures, and Prodigy ended production in November 2024. On our comparison table its nearest matches are the Discraft Nuke and the Discmania DD4.
