The G1 is Oddgrip's two-component approach disc, a shallow, beadless, grippy mold built for straight, smooth precision upshots around 160 ft (50 m). It suits short approaches, long putts, and straight hyzer flips.

Oddgrip publishes three flight ratings for the G1 rather than one, reasoning that a disc behaves differently at different speeds: 1/2/0/0, 2/3/-1/0, and 3/3/-2/1. This listing carries the middle set. The company does not stamp numbers on the discs themselves, saying flight ratings are highly debatable while no official standard exists, and it revises the published figures from player feedback.

The construction is the unusual part: the flight plate is thermoplastic polyurethane (TPE-U) and the grip is thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPE-V), two materials Oddgrip has not yet given retail names. Discs run about 171 g, and the original G1 pairs a matt white flight plate with a black grip. There are no stamped graphics, just a small G1 mark and ODDGRIP.COM embossed on the underside.
