Whippet

The Whippet is a very overstable fairway driver rated 6/3/1/5, a low-glide, hard-fading mold built for medium-long left-hooking shots (for a right-handed backhand) that holds its line even into stiff headwinds. It is a specialty and utility disc for experienced, powerful throwers.

That extreme overstability is the whole point: it excels at specialty shots like overheads, spike hyzers, forehand rollers, hook thumbers and skip shots, always finishing hard and predictably. It takes the power of professional-level arms without turning over. Because glide is low and fade is strong, it is not a distance or straight-line disc; it is a control and utility tool. It is a beadless fairway driver.

Approved in 1992, the Whippet is one of Innova's oldest dedicated overstable utility drivers.

Metal Flake Champion and Star runs hold the strong fade longest, which is what utility and forehand throwers want.
