Whale
more_horiz
The Whale is a big, meaty putt-and-approach disc rated 2/3/0/1, a beaded putter designed to fly consistently no matter how hard you throw it, with a straight flight and just a touch of late fade to the left (for a right-handed backhand). Innova describes it as a disc that flies like a driver and lands like a putter.
Its stability and superior torque resistance are what set it apart: it takes power without flipping, which makes it easier to throw on a forehand (sidearm) than most putters and dependable for long, firm approaches and driving putts. The substantial, beaded feel fills the hand. It is a stable, beaded putter rather than a soft, neutral lag-putt disc, so touch putters may prefer a deeper, softer model.
Approved in 2014, the Whale is part of Innova's Aviar-family putter lineup as a beefier, more stable option.
Firmer runs hold the stable flight for driving and approaches; the meaty profile is the defining feel.

Try Discs adds up reviews from six disc golf stores, so you see what players think across stores, not just at one shop. Reviews are great for spotting proven, popular discs. Take the details with a grain of salt, though: runs, plastics and skill level all change how a disc flies, so your experience may vary.
