TeeBird

The Innova TeeBird is a straight-to-overstable fairway driver that can be a workhorse in any player’s bag. They will fly straight with a strong, pushing fade for slower to intermediate arm speeds. For power throwers, though, a TeeBird will fly dead straight and far with a slight fade. They are very versatile and can be used for a wide variety of shots from hyzers to flex shots to turnovers.

 The TeeBird was approved in 1999 and designed to fit in between the popular Eagle and Banshee in terms of stability and be the next step up from the Gazelle. The TeeBird proceeded to become a bestseller for Innova, and one of the most popular discs among pros by far. The world distance record was set in 2002 with a TeeBird (810 ft), and it was essentially the choice distance driver among all Innova Pros. Even with the development of farther flying discs, the TeeBird remained highly popular at all levels of disc golf and remains one of the best-selling discs of all time.

Many modern fairway drivers can have their roots traced back to the TeeBird, and variants of the TeeBird are highly popular in their own right (TeeBird3, TL, TL3 to name a few). The TeeBird is a signature disc of Ken Climo and has been a Tour Series disc for players like Vaino Makela, Ohn Scoggins, Philo Brathwaite, and Kevin Jones, among others. Most Innova pros throw at least one of either a TeeBird or one of its variants. There are several highly collectible runs of TeeBirds, with KC Pro and CE runs fetching over $100. KJ Nybo and Anthony Barela TeeBirds are also sought after.
