Shark

The Shark is a classic all-around midrange rated 4/4/0/2, a straight-flying, mildly stable disc that holds hyzer and anhyzer lines and finishes with a gentle fade to the left (for a right-handed backhand). It is one of disc golf's long-standing beginner-friendly mids, versatile enough to drive, approach, and even putt with.
Its smooth rim and consistent release are what make it forgiving for newer players, while its predictable straight-to-fade flight keeps it useful for controlled approaches at any level. It has good glide and carry for a midrange, making longer approaches reachable. It is a beadless, moderately deep mid. Players wanting a more overstable or more understable mid have faster modern options, but the Shark remains a dependable, neutral-stable workhorse.
Approved in 1989, the Shark is one of Innova's oldest midranges and helped define the category in the sport's early decades.
DX is the classic beat-friendly run; Champion and Star hold the flight and last far longer.
