Rat

The Rat is a forehand-specific approach midrange rated 4/2/0/2, a low-profile, beadless, flat-top mold that flies fast out of the hand and finishes with a predictable fade to the left at the end (for a right-handed backhand). Innova built it in response to players asking for a dedicated sidearm approach disc, and the flat top makes it one of the more comfortable forehand approach discs around.

It rips straight with a dependable fade on a forehand (sidearm) throw, and the backhand grip and flight feel just as predictable, which makes it a versatile short-game and headwind approach tool. A note on its rating: Innova currently lists the Rat at 4/2/0/2, though earlier runs were stamped and listed as 4/2/0/3, so an older Rat you own may carry the slightly more overstable number. It is a low-profile, beadless mid.

Approved in 2017 and lightly retooled since, the Rat fills the forehand-approach niche in Innova's midrange lineup.
