Mamba

The Mamba is Innova's most understable distance driver, a fast, big-glide mold rated 11/6/-5/1 whose deep high-speed turn (it banks well to the right for a right-handed backhand before only a slight fade) makes it a distance aid for developing arms and a dedicated shot-shaper for stronger ones. Innova is blunt that it is the wrong disc for a headwind, since that much turn will flip and dump.

For players with moderate power it opens up long turnovers, sweeping anhyzers, hyzer-flips that stand up and ride, and some of the easiest big rollers in the lineup. Faster arms should expect to throw it on a hyzer angle to get a straight flight, since thrown flat it turns over. It is a shallow, beadless speed-11 rim that is still comfortable to grip. Anyone wanting a stable, dependable distance driver should look at the Beast or Boss instead; the Mamba is a specialist in turn.

Approved in 2012, the Mamba rounds out Innova's distance line as the understable opposite of its overstable drivers.

DX beats in fastest and becomes a roller-and-turnover tool quickly; Champion and Star hold the rated flight longer, which matters more on a disc this understable, since a beat Mamba can get hard to keep in bounds.
