Mako3

The Mako3 is perhaps one of the straightest flying midranges ever produced. It has a very neutral flight path with almost no fade, making it very suitable for newer players. Despite what the low fade may suggest, the Mako3 is also fairly torque-resistant meaning that it can handle more powerful throws as well.

Innova released the Mako3 in 2013 (approved in 2017) as an improvement over the Mako. The Mako was also very straight flying, but had a large dome that some players did not enjoy. Makos were very popular, so Innova attempted to fix the dome issue with the Mako3, which was just a flatter, more torque-resistant Mako. The improvement seemed to work, as the Mako3 became one of Innova’s best-selling discs of all time, and essentially drove the original Mako out of production. Several pros have even bagged the Mako3, including Nate Sexton, Emily Beach (Tour Series), and Holly Finley. The most collectible run of Mako3 is probably the Halo Champion Bill Nye run.
