Caiman

The Caiman is a very overstable midrange rated 5.5/2/0/4, a low-glide, hard-fading mold built to fight wind and finish hard to the left (for a right-handed backhand). Innova drew inspiration from the Gator for it, and like that disc it muscles through headwinds and holds an overstable line where a straighter mid would turn.

That strong fade and minimal glide make it a dependable utility and forehand-approach disc: it takes power and torque without flipping and comes back reliably, which is exactly what forehand-dominant players and windy-day throwers want. A microbead gives the rim a smooth, secure feel for power forehand throws. Because glide is so low, it is not a distance or straight-line mid; it is a control and wind tool.

Approved in 2018, the Caiman joined Innova's midrange lineup as an overstable, Gator-inspired utility option.

Champion and Star runs hold the strong fade longest, which is what makes it a lasting forehand and headwind disc.
