The Alien is a unique, stable midrange rated 4/2/0/1, a disc that is distinctive in both look and feel: its top resembles a Sonic while its rim is more like a midrange. It flies with a surprisingly stable, even slightly overstable, dependable flight.

That combination is what makes it thrive in a niche of spin putts, approach shots and short-range drives, where its stable, low-glide flight holds a controlled line and finishes predictably. The unusual profile gives it a feel unlike Innova's other mids. It is a beadless mid. Its low glide and stable finish make it a short-range control disc rather than a distance mid.

Approved in 2022, the Alien is one of Innova's more unusual midrange and approach designs.
