The CornerStone is a Gateway control driver rated 9/5/-2/2, an understable mold that turns readily and returns with a moderate, dependable fade. Gateway developed it as the numbered prototype "Proto 99a" before naming it; the PDGA records the certification as "Cornerstone (renamed from Proto 99a)", approved November 3, 2025 under certification 25-165. The turn makes it a natural for hyzer flips and long turnover lines at moderate power. Gateway currently offers it in Diamond Metal Flake and NXT-G.
