Purpose

The Purpose is a midrange rated 5/4/0/3. Zero turn against a 3 fade suggests an overstable midrange flight, straight early and dependably leftward at the end for a right-hand backhand. It is not a disc for turnover lines.

It came from Essential Discs, the Michigan brand, in the six-mold batch the PDGA certified on 2 February 2023. The brand's catalogue describes it as a low-profile overstable midrange, quick to release from the hand with low glide for pinpoint accuracy, pitched as a Honey with slightly more speed and glide, and prints the same figures carried here. No shop listing for it was live in the sources traced for this page as of August 2026.
