The Kataw is a midrange listed here at 5/4/0/3. Zero turn with a fade rating of 3 suggests a stable-to-overstable flight that finishes firmly left for a right-hand backhand. Its ratings suggest it is less suited to players seeking turnover lines or a long, gliding finish.

Divergent Discs, which says its line is focused on beginner and recreational players, says it made the Kataw at fans' request as a midrange with more overstability than its neutral Kapre, for windy conditions and forehand approach shots, and names it after a shape-shifting water spirit from Filipino folklore. The PDGA approved it on 11 December 2023 (23-270). Divergent sells it in its MaxLife and MaxValue plastics.
