Zone SS

The Zone SS is the understable member of the Zone approach family, rated 4/4/-1/2: the Zone's frame with the overstability dialed back to a workable -1 turn and a softer finish. It gives touch players and slower arms a friendlier take on the family's slot; players who want the classic hard-left utility flight should stay with the standard Zone or the Zone OS.

The -1 turn opens lines the family never offered: gentle turnovers, straight floats, and anhyzer holds that do not slam shut, with a glide 4 that keeps approaches airborne by Zone standards.

Certified in July 2025 (PDGA cert 25-119, filed under its "DIS-0725-P" prototype code), it completed the family's stability spread after the OS arrived in 2023 and the GT tops in 2024. This entry will grow as runs and reviews accumulate.
