Wasp

The Wasp is a beaded, stable midrange rated 5/3/0/2: no turn, a short dependable fade, and less glide than the big-glide mids, so it flies to the target instead of past it. It is a point-and-shoot approach and control mid that stays honest in wind; players who want a mid to carry extra distance usually reach for something glidier.
The bead gives the rim a locked, consistent feel in the hand, and the low glide is the feature: distances stay predictable throw after throw, and power does not sneak it into a turnover. That makes it a natural upshot disc and a favorite of players who like to throw the same shot all day.
Approved in September 2002 (PDGA cert 02-13), a year before the Buzzz arrived, the Wasp is one of the molds that built Discraft's midrange reputation, and it still gets a steady rotation of special runs.
The plastics spread is wide: ESP and Z Line standard, Jawbreaker and Crazy Tuff firm, Z Glo and a UV Blend for glow, CryZtal and Cryztal Sparkle translucent, and Tour Series and Titanium runs for collectors, including swirled ESP and Titanium variants.
