Challenger SS

The Challenger SS is the understable member of the Challenger putter family, rated 2/3/-1/2 and beadless where the standard Challenger is beaded. At throwing power it drifts gently right before a soft finish, which makes it the family's touch disc: turnover approaches, glidey straight lay-ups, and putts for players who like a putter that does not fight them.

The -1 turn only really shows on drives and long approaches; inside the circle it just feels like a friendlier, less stubborn Challenger. Slower arms get the most from it.

Discraft certified it in August 2017 (PDGA cert 17-93), part of a one-two expansion that added the more overstable Challenger OS a month later, bracketing the 2003 classic with both stability directions.
