Challenger

The Challenger is Discraft's classic overstable putt-and-approach disc, rated 2/3/0/2 with a beaded rim. It flies where you aim it with little glide and a firm left finish, which is exactly what you want from a driving putter in wind; players wanting a floaty, die-at-the-basket lay-up putter usually pair it with something softer-flying.

The bead and deep rim give a consistent, locked-in release, and the mold handles real power: off the tee it holds its line and fades honestly, and headwind approaches stay on target instead of lifting away. Discraft later added separate more-overstable and less-stable versions, the Challenger OS and Challenger SS, each with its own PDGA certification.

Approved in January 2003 (PDGA cert 03-04), the Challenger has spent two decades as the overstable anchor of Discraft's putter lineup.

Putter Line and Pro-D are the traditional feels, Jawbreaker and Crazy Tuff cover firmer modern blends (including a CT Jawbreaker run), Rubber Blend leans soft, and ESP, Titanium, and the FLX variants round out the premium end.
