Anax

The Anax is an overstable control driver and the third disc in the Paul McBeth line. It has the profile of a distance driver, but a rim more like a fairway driver, which makes it excellent at fighting the wind and more accessible to players of all skill levels. It is good for long, controlled hyzers, as well as flex shots and even anhyzers if thrown hard enough.

The Anax was released in 2019 as Paul McBeth’s third disc with Discraft. It was made to be a slightly more overstable Vulture, and the similarities between the two discs are striking. McBeth throws this disc for a variety of shots, and other Discraft pros have been known to bag one as well. Its rim width has made it more popular with a wider range of players than discs with similar flights, which has made it a quite popular disc overall. Prototype and Paul McBeth 1060 Rated Anax’s are both fairly collectible.
