Distance Driver

The PD, or Power Driver, is an overstable control driver that is a very overstable driver for slower arms and a versatile, stable driver for power arms. It is known for good glide, strong fade, and high torque resistance, as well as excelling in windy conditions. It is a popular driver across all skill levels, and is a popular cycling option due to its stability. Innova- and Discmania-made PDs are very similar but have very slightly different heights and rims.

The original Innova-made PD was approved in 2008 under the names PD, Power Driver, and Freak. It quickly became a bestseller for Discmania, with fans at all levels of the sport. Once Discmania split from Innova and created their Originals Line the PD was one of the first discs to be reapproved, being registered as the PD (New) in 2021. Many Discmania and Innova pros have been known to throw a PD over the years, including Gannon Buhr, Eagle McMahon, Simon Lizotte, and Niklas Anttila, among many others. Many older runs of PD are quite sought after, including almost all Innova-made runs, especially 1st and 3rd runs, and Avery Jenkins PDs.
